Before you attend mentor training, we would like to tell you some more information about Chance UK. One of our team will contact you for a 10 minute chat. This gives us the chance to tell you more about Chance UK and what it’s like to be a mentor. This is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you might have. We suggest you read these essential details before your phone information session.
To organise your phone information session, please call Amy Dickens on 020 7281 5858 ext. 228 or email email@example.com
Please download and complete an Application Form and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org. The Application Form is here:
Please note: We do not accept CVs either in lieu of an application form or instead of completing the employment history section.
Submit your DBS form (we will send you this form in the post once we have your Mentor Application Form). Your completed DBS form and ID documents should be brought to the Chance UK office, ideally before training starts. Please contact us before bringing your DBS or ID documents in so we can ensure someone is here for you.
The following guidelines explain which ID documents are acceptable
Once we have your Mentor Application Form we can book you onto Mentor Training. A training round runs over three consecutive Saturdays, from 10am to 4pm, at our Finsbury Park office. If you can’t make one or more of the days in a training round, please let us know and we will book you on to the next available one. We start training rounds every month, except in August and December. Our upcoming training rounds are:
July Training Round:
Day 1: Saturday 1st July
Day 2: Saturday 8th July
Day 3: Saturday 15th July

“If you’re thinking about it but you’re unsure, just go for it and take the plunge…The Chance UK mentoring shows you another side to London, you get to make a genuine difference and, on top of that, the programme has taught me a lot about myself and helped me for the better. If you get to experience all that and help make a lasting impression on your child, then it must be worth giving it a try!”
–Sherine, Chance UK mentor
