London has a wide variety of parks and other green spaces, most of which contain activities for children. Some of the best are listed below, but you could also investigate any green area in the A-Z of the child's local area.

Islington parks

Lee Valley Park
The Lee Valley Regional Park stretches an incredible 26 miles along the leafy banks of the River Lee, with regional sports centres, urban green spaces, heritage sites, country parks and nature reserves.

Gillett Square
Dalston’s only public space is a simple, hardwearing and flexible square for the local town centre.

Culpeper Community Garden
Islington’s community garden, based near Angel. Runs an art project for 7 to 14 year olds every summer.
