Parent Programme

Our Parenting Programme runs alongside the structured mentoring year. It has been thoughtfully designed to support parents and caregivers with everyday parenting challenges and to help make the parent-child relationship even more enjoyable.

The programme is grounded in social learning theory and draws on the trauma-informed approach, mindfulness, and the solution-focussed approach.

We offer the following range of services and activities to parents and carers:

  • 1:1 Introductory Sessions to welcome parents to the programme, build rapport, and signpost to other services if appropriate.
  • A Space to Breathe Parenting Group: a practical, solution-focused programme to encourage mindful parenting.
  • Family Activity Days: activities and new experiences, collaboratively designed with our parents, which aim to enhance the relationship between the parent and child and expand their social network.
  • Parent-led Clinics: opportunity for parents to access coaching or tailored sessions delivered by service experts on a range of topics chosen by parents themselves.

When we asked our parents how they would describe the support they received. They said:

“Beneficial and practical-targeting problem behaviour with my child. Long-term strategies offered. Very useful for the future.”

“The support I received was outstanding and a great resource to rely on.”

“The support has been invaluable to support my family”
