At Chance UK, we know there’s only one childhood—and every child deserves the chance to grow up feeling supported, connected, and full of hope. But today, too many children in the UK face a tough start. From poverty and trauma to poor mental health and disengagement with education, the challenges are growing—and they’re growing younger.
That’s why we’ve written a new strategy for the next five years. But we didn’t just write a strategy—we wrote a letter to our future selves. Just like the reflective letters our children write about who they want to become, A Chance to Belong sets out who we are, where we want to go, and how we’ll get there. It’s ambitious, hopeful, and rooted in what we know works. Most importantly, it’s designed to help us reach more children, earlier, with the right support.
From expanding our mentoring model to training a new generation of youth workers, from amplifying children’s voices to building stronger families and communities—we’re investing in lasting change.
